Spontaneous trips are the best trips

Sometimes in life you just have to go with the flow and see where you end up. Last week I had one of such moments. We had had lunch with some classmates at Ikea, yes that happens here, and after we weren’t quite sure what we wanted to do. We knew we had to do some shopping and visit the school library, but other than that nobody had a plan. Clearly, nobody wanted to go home either. All that was waiting for us there was homework and a looming thesis. So, it was decided, let’s go on a road trip. Luckily one of us has a car and she offered to drive us wherever we could think of. I’ll be honest right here and now, it is quite convenient to have friends with cars. We considered Leksand and Falun, until I suggested we visit Torsång Café. I visited this place together with the other bloggers at the beginning of the year so I knew it’s the perfect place for a fika. It also wasn’t too far away, and my friends had not been there yet. 1+1+1= a trip to Torsång. We visited the old church next to the café. Apparently, some parts of the church date back to the 12th century. After that it was time for our fika, because it was also really cold outside.

Even though our road trip didn’t take us very far, we had a great afternoon. It was so much fun to just randomly decide to not go home but to go exploring. I’ve written in other blogs before that there might not be much to do in Borlänge, but it is little trips like this that fill the days and the memories that you’ll look back on later. Just go with the flow!
